Traveling Well, You'll Need A Bag, Then

What would we do without our bags? Bags help us in so many ways. They have many purposes. Bags make a statement about who we are. And, if you dump out your bag for all to see, it can say you need attention and affection.

Bags come in so many colors, sizes, designs and materials. It's hard to decide which one is right for you. They carry our clothes for our vacations, short and long. We use book bags to carry our school books, computers and some come disguised as a sport bag. Women need their hand bags, which of course is called a purse. Some of these bags carry smaller bags, called wallets, cosmetic bags, and personal grooming bags. We need bags to carry our ipods, shopping items and dog items. So in retrospect, we need bags for all occasions.

A bag is a container or receptacle. It can be made of a variety of different materials that usually opens at the top. I have had some open on the side. Not all bags are created equal. Some are poorly designed, fall apart easily, or the zipper breaks, usually at the worst times.

Traveling? Well, you'll need a travel bag. You may be making a journey of some length, sight seeing, visiting a friend, relative or just touring with a group of people. In any case, you'll need a good, comfortable, well made bag with wheels, that would be a convenient commodity. The right bag will definitely make your trip much easier. My mother and I flew to Florida from Chicago. We had to run to catch the bus, that left 5 minutes after we landed. We ran. My mother had a bag that was contoured to her, ergonomic and had wheels. I had an older bag with a shoulder strap, which I slung over my shoulder. Guess what, my neck and shoulder paid the price. I think my neck was sore for about three days. Well, I purchased a well made bag, with wheels, shortly after that. I don't want to experience that again and we'll be traveling there again in one year.

So, yes, bags are not created equal. If you are in the market to purchase a bag, choose one, well balanced, ergonomic, contoured to you, with industrial strength zippers, accessible, expandable, handy, convenient, shock- absorbing, with a warranty, or one that carries a guarantee. Some bags can even reduce shoulder and neck fatigue. So, happy traveling and don't forget your bags.
